Nardjes A. 2019 plot

Brazilian filmmaker Karim Aïnouz traveled to Algeria to find his roots in his father's native village. He finds himself in the middle of a revolt and changes his plan. The Revolution of Smiles – the weekly peaceful demonstrations held across the country in the spring of 2019 – initially targeted President Bouteflika's fifth re-election. With a smartphone, Aïnouz records a day in the life of demonstrator Nardjes A., from the moment she leaves her home in the morning until dawn twenty hours later.
