Mujer de Soldado plot

"... They were scarred forever"

In 1984, soldiers of the Peruvian army settled in the Peruvian province of Huancavelica to fight the Shining Path guerrilla movement. Many teenage girls and young women from the area were raped by them, including Magda. When she found out she was pregnant, the family blamed her. Many women who suffered this fate were despised and ostracized. Decades later, Magda is embroiled in a lawsuit she and other women have filed against their former assailants so they can regain some of their dignity.
