Moving Landscapes plot
Filmmaker Froukje van Wengerden grew up in a place where hands are used to work with. As if hands are there more physically. Rough, coarse and unpolished. And always ready for the cold. Sometimes it seems as if the continuous work hides love. Covered under a thick layer of calluses. As if one forgets the loving hand by working. And time passes. But perhaps there is another form of touch in this hand. harder. Less visible. rawer. It is as if the hand in its gruesome crushing protects at the same time. Van Wengerden loves this raw image of the working hand, but at the same time longs for a loving touch.
