Mojave plot
In the inhospitable landscape of the Mojave Desert in the southwestern United States, the familiar, inhabited world seems far away. However, the people who live here are not bothered by the endless emptiness; they have a special bond with the desert and find their happiness in life in this remote area. Filmmaker Chris Teerink visited a number of these desert inhabitants and tried to fathom the essence of their existence. He found, for example, a man who has been carving turquoise from the rocks for 27 years and hardly sees any people.
