Moeder Moet Dood plot

'Mother Must Die' tells the tragic story of the murder of 67-year-old Etty Dekker. On April 16, 2011, Etty was brutally killed by her 36-year-old son Alain, in her home in the center of Zoetermeer. Alain suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and is a known member of the local Mental Health Service (GGZ). After several forced admissions, the man lives on his own. Mother is afraid that something will go wrong and calls the GGZ. In vain. Finally, her son stabs his sleeping mother with a blunt potato knife and slits her throat. He says he saved her from the devil. After her mother's murder, Linda van der Heide files a disciplinary case against her brother's therapists at GGZ Rivierduinen in Zoetermeer.
