Mekudeshet plot
The director follows Tamara, Michelle and Rachel, three young Israeli women who do everything they can to file for divorce. With the help of a group of female Orthodox rabbinic lawyers, they challenge the Jewish community's strict laws. They prescribe that men who leave their wives and children to live with another woman may refuse to divorce their lawful wives. In most cases, they don't even pay alimony. The women are not allowed to enter into other relationships and are doomed to chastity, because in Israel an extramarital relationship for a woman is prohibited.
