Meeting Andrei Tarkovsky plot
In 1987, a year after the death of the great Russian filmmaker Andrei Tarkovsky, Dmitry Trakovsky emigrated from Russia to the United States with his parents. There the young Dmitry grew up with a special sensitivity to the images, sounds, and themes in Tarkovsky's films. In this documentary, he goes in search of other lives influenced by the author's work: the actors Erland Josephson and Domiziana Giordano, his filmmaker friends Krzysztof Zanussi and Franco Terilli, an Orthodox priest, and even the director's own son. , Andrei Andreevich Tarkovsky.
