Mara plot

When in August 2020 the people of Belarus revolt against dictator Lukashenko, a young woman stands in between. She is dressed as Mara, a female ghost in Slavic culture who brings dreams or nightmares during sleep. Initially, she is optimistic about the demonstrations. "It's impossible to stay at home," she says in the voiceover. But when the patrol cars arrive, the atmosphere turns grim. A documentary about the uprising against the dictator Aleksandr Lukashenko in the summer of 2020.
