Manguebit plot

Mangue Beat was a musical and artistic movement that emerged in the Brazilian state of Pernambuco in the 1990s. Thanks to the success of bands such as Chico Science, Nação Zumbi and Mundo Livre SA, the suburbs and cultural expressions of the Recife urban area received more attention, and the movement gave this area a place on the map of global music. The film shows the true spirit of Mangue Beat, characterized by a free way of thinking, where daring and innovation are central.
