Los Herederos plot
Little children's hands pick green beans at lightning speed and cut wood for a fire. Just as their (grand)parents have lived for years, the lives of these children also progress in the Mexican countryside. Polgovsky filmed for months in the rough, inaccessible countryside. He wanted to share the anger and admiration he felt. Anger, because the children are trapped in a vicious circle. But also admiration and endearment; now and then there is room for a laugh or a game, and the children are proud that they contribute and are independent.
