Long Distance Love plot
The honeymoon weeks of eighteen-year-old Alisher and his wife Dildora are hardly over when Dildora turns out to be pregnant. But how can unemployed Alisher in poor Kyrgyzstan take care of his wife and the baby-to-be? There seems to be only one option: leave for Moscow to make a fortune there. One in four men from Kyrgyzstan leaves for economic reasons – usually to Russia. However, the labor migrants are having a hard time; they do the poorly paid work and live crammed into small apartments. When Alisher is also cheated by the agency that mediates between him and the Russian employers, he reaches for the bottle. Meanwhile, his family is waiting for the money from Moscow that never comes. Can the love between Alisher and Dildora last now that they are 3,500 kilometers apart?
