Liquid Stone: Unlocking Gaudi's Secrets plot
In the nineteenth century, the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí embarked on his most ambitious project: the Sagrada Família church in Barcelona. The architect has been working on the unique church for 43 years, but he is not yet able to finish it for a quarter. Gaudí's successors have been puzzled for years as they continue to build the church. In 1979, however, a breakthrough took place. Two of the architects who worked with Gaudí meet 23-year-old New Zealand architect Mark Burry and give him the chance to decipher the master's secret code. Bit by bit, Burry begins to reconstruct Gaudí's plans on paper. To speed up the time-consuming process, he then uses software from the aircraft industry, which means a complete transformation for the construction process. Moreover, it now also shows how amazingly genius Gaudi's design for the Sagrada Família actually is.
