Le Cochon plot

The entire slaughter of a pig in a French village is filmed in barely an hour. Nothing passes the viewer: the stab in the heart and the billowing blood, the sawing of the ribs, the cleaning of the intestines, the expulsion of the stench with cigarette smoke, everything is visible. In an unintelligible dialect, the mustachioed French murmur all kinds of things, and the bottle of wine or calvados is regularly circulated.
