La Torre plot
In 2004, a bomb went off in the public library of Medellín in Colombia. There is one photo of this never-explained attack, in which library staff clear up the rubble. This photo inspired debut director and artist Sebastian Múnera to create “La Torre”. The experimental black-and-white film, with the occasional color insert, is set in and around the move from an old to a new library under construction. Three characters are followed: photo restorer Jorge, who tries to develop that long-hidden photo; librarian Gloria, and Neyder, a young construction worker.
