"The story of the Spanish mineral that shaped the course of the Second World War"

Spain was neutral during World War II, but because of Hitler's help to Franco during the civil war that took place shortly before, Spain was indebted to the Nazis. The debt was partly repaid through the sale of tungsten, an extremely strong metal used for German weaponry. This documentary shows how a kind of wild west emerged in Galicia and how tungsten became the focus of a diplomatic battle between the Nazis and the Allies.
