L'Autre Rio plot

Rio de Janeiro, August 2016. The Summer Olympics are in full swing. A stone's throw from Maracanã Stadium, but far from international attention, a hundred impoverished families live together in an abandoned building. Despite the neighborhood's misery, gang violence and militarization, the residents survive with ingenuity and resilience. Ignored by sensationalist reports, their dignified and generous words reveal a universe of concrete and light, where today's reality disappears behind tomorrow's aspirations.
