Kuyt plot

Dirk Kuijt extended his contract with Feyenoord in 2016 to everyone's surprise. Football year 2016-2017 was the year of his life. With a hat-trick he shot his club Feyenoord on the last day of competition to the first championship in 18 years. But the road to that golden Sunday, May 14, was not an easy one. Captain Kuijt lost his starting spot and ended up on the bench to his great disappointment. During that turbulent time, Kuijt and his family were closely followed by director Deborah van Dam. She filmed the football player during the matches, during the substitutions and during the hours on the reserve bench. She also followed him at home with his wife Gertrude and his children and traveled with him to his old club Liverpool.
