Jo de Roo plot
Director Ricardo Alvarez has been visiting ex-pro cyclist Jo de Roo for nine years as a son-in-law. But only when he gets his hands on a cycling book about his father-in-law in 2001, does Alvarez see what a phenomenon Jo de Roo was in the early sixties. Jo de Roo was one of the world's best cyclists in the period 1962-1963. Due to intrigue and bad luck, De Roo misses a number of world championships. The director wonders why this Zeeuw never talked about his achievements. After ten years of racing as a rider, Jo starts a shop in Goes. Initially this goes well, but then a family drama takes place.
