In the small nursing home Dagmarsminde in Græsted, Denmark, nurse May Bjerre Eiby sees no benefit in classical dementia diagnosis and treatment, as neither improves the quality of life of her eleven residents. Instead, May and her staff have developed a new form of treatment based on the 150-year-old methods of Florence Nightingale. She wants to completely change the way people with dementia are treated by the health care system and ensure a shift from medication to care.
