Isti plot

A woodworker makes graceful curves, metal discs glow from the fire, dozens of seamstresses work in their studio. In a stable, a man carefully brushes a horse. At first glance, 'Isti' shows the beauty of craftsmanship, repetition and uniformity. At second glance, the film shows the monotonous life of prisoners in the four Serbian penitentiary institutions where the filming took place. The images show the prison as a metaphor for our society. It is also built up according to countless rules and rhythms. How much individual freedom do we actually have outside the prison wall, who really makes their own choices?
