In der Dämmerstunde - Berlin plot

A wintry and gray Berlin forms the background for a walk and meditation, the encounter between a city and a filmmaker. Filmed over two consecutive winters, the film paints a portrait of a city gripped - almost metaphorically - by cold, snow, emptiness and demolition. But also of the movement: the wanderings of the filmmaker, the passing trains and metros and the ceaseless succession of images of a mutilated environment, the focus on facades, factories or bricked-up houses filmed as characters, as stones bearing witness to the downfall.
