Immer Fernweh plot

Portrait of the East German artist Johanna Kaiser. After her sixties she started to paint as a self-taught artist in the 1970s: violently blooming fantasy flowers and dreamy landscapes that expressed a never-satisfied longing for faraway places. Fragments from her diary are read by the actress Ursula Werner. Together with shots of her paintings and quotes from family and acquaintances, they show a passionate woman in five chapters.
