Hungary 2018 plot

Twenty-eight years after the fall of communism, on the eve of the presidential elections, Hungary stands at a political crossroads. Will Viktor Orbán remain in power with his Fidesz party and will the country face another four years of right-wing nationalist populism? Or will former Prime Minister Ferenc Gyurcsány come to power with his left-wing, pro-Europe party? Filmmaker Eszter Hajdú followed both campaigns, but also gained access to Gyurcsány's personal life.
