Huilende Bruiden plot

Many manor farms in Groningen, built in the heyday of the Grain Republic, are in disrepair. They are called 'crying brides'. The residents try with all their might to keep the farms in good condition, but they cannot stand up to greater forces. What should they do to stop the decay? And how do the crying brides themselves view their approaching demise?
