Housewitz plot

The mother of filmmaker Oeke Hoogendijk has not left her house for decades. Lous has a recurring nightmare where she doesn't know how to get home, just like the day she was deported as a Jewish girl. What at first sight seem very ordinary images – an elderly woman in a living room watching television with her cat – gradually turns into a portrait of an astute woman who has to live daily with a roommate Holocaust. Even the Christmas tree, which she was so happy with as a child, still evokes the memory of Westerbork.
