In Oakland, a city grappling with rising crime and health problems, public school systems aren't exactly equipped to prepare young people for life as young adults. We follow the class of Oakland High School. It is one of the few school districts in the United States with its own police force. Millions of dollars are invested here while there is no money left for education. Yet the youth are fighting for their rights in a gentrified Oakland, with the looming police brutality against blacks and the coronavirus pandemic.
