Holloway plot

Three-part docu-series about Holloway Prison, the largest women's prison in Europe. There are about 500 inmates in this North London prison and they cover the entire criminal spectrum: from thieves, drug-addicted prostitutes and con artists to psychopathic murderesses. Prison doesn't have the best reputation. There is talk of Dickensian conditions, with cells full of rats and an explosive atmosphere with settlements between inmates and between prisoners and guards. There are even voices in public opinion, politics and the press to close the prison. This documentary explores what's really going on behind the bars of Holloway Prison.
