Historia de Mi Nombre plot

"A peculiar coincidence"

Chilean documentary filmmaker Karin Cuyul was named after Karin Eitel. This young woman was arrested in 1987 and interrogated on television and tortured by Pinochet's secret service. Almost ten years after that shocking broadcast, as a little girl, the director met the parents of her namesake, who took a picture of her. The director travels through Chile in search of the origin of that photo, while reconstructing her own past and that of her parents.
