Het Late Leven plot

In the dim light of the Irish countryside, the very elderly actor Piet Kamerman (94) has led a withdrawn life for years. His body struggles, but that doesn't stop him from playing the piano full of fire and reciting with a powerful voice. In front of the camera, Piet shines as himself. He enthusiastically embraces old age with his radio, the telephone and his cats as permanent opponents. This atmospheric, meditative portrait makes the viewer part of a rich life in the lowest gear.
