Heroes plot

Every year hordes of tourists from Turkey, Australia and New Zealand travel to Gallipoli, or 'Çanakkale', as the peninsula is called in Turkish. They come there to commemorate the soldiers who fell there during one of the greatest battles of the First World War. One side calls its fallen 'heroes', the other speaks of 'martyrs'. It is a first indication of how diverse the stories are that are told.
