Henk plot

Portrait of Henk Shakison, the Surinamese-Dutch janitor of the Amsterdam Rietveld Academy. He has an idiosyncratic view of themes such as integration, migration, fatherhood, happiness and success. As a teenager, he left Suriname for the Netherlands in the 1970s with his mother and sisters. He made music and danced at a high level, but he doesn't talk about that anymore. Wrapped in pieces from an exuberant fashion collection inspired by his life, he explains his life story.
