Strong women in provocative sexy poses, mysterious and confident. In his photography, Helmut Newton constantly seeks the boundary between art and pornography. Like no other, Newton has contributed to the iconification of Western women with his fashion photography, nudes and portraits. In 1988, director Adrian Maben visited the star photographer at his home in Monte Carlo and accompanied him during his photo sessions in Los Angeles, Berlin and Paris. On this journey he managed to capture special moments in Newton's private life and work. Stars like Catherine Deneuve, Charlotte Rampling (Newton's first-ever nude model), Faye Dunaway and Karl Lagerfeld share what it was like to work with one of the best, most influential and sought-after photographers of the twentieth century in this documentary.
