"Welcome to the state of invention"

This documentary is about the uncle of the filmmaker, Helio Oiticica (1937-1980), one of the most important Brazilian artists of the 20th century. Based on a narrator (who remains out of the picture) and analyzes by experts, the film has Oiticica explain his life and tell about his art in his own words. The artist talks about his artistic development, his modernist paintings, sculptures in the 1960s, his expanded cinema installations and slide show environments of the 1970s.
