American guitarist Joe Bonamassa has transformed the blues from a relatively marginal genre into an arena-filling spectacle. He toured with BB King, from whom he learned the trade, and performed on stage with such greats as John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, Paul Rodgers and Peter Frampton. The documentary shows the evolution of Bonamassa's talent from an early age. One sees a musician growing in his craft and traveling the world, embracing the universal language of music and collaborating with his musical heroes. And with Joe's humor and self-mockery, one also learns to appreciate the man behind the rock star's alter ego.
