Futebol plot

Following the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France, three documentaries were made about Brazilian football under the collective name Futebol. The first documentary The Dream shows that many boys in Rio really only have 2 chances, or become a criminal or top football player. If one of those children then becomes a professional footballer, all worries of the family are over in one fell swoop. Part two The Goal shows the other side of the coin. Once you're a professional footballer at the top, you have to keep it that way. Brazilian supporters are not satisfied if you play badly once. Finally, The Memory, the third film, shows the decay in the form of Caju. Once a top football player and world star, nowadays an obese slum landlord with many exes, a brother he only sees when he needs money and a lot of wannabe friends and girlfriends. Still, he doesn't seem unhappy, but the idea for the viewer remains that Caju would have liked to get more out of his career.
