"New thinking about what we're eating"
In 'Fresh' different people are portrayed. These include urban farmer and activist Will Allen, who was named one of the 100 Most Influential People by TIME in 2010. We see sustainable farmer and entrepreneur Joel Salatin who achieved national fame thanks to the book The Omnivore's Dilemma - a bestseller written by Michael Pollan who also appears in the film. We also follow David Ball, a Kansas City grocery store owner who is challenging the supermarket-dominated economy by stocking his store every day with products from local suppliers. 'Fresh' is dedicated to farmers, citizens, entrepreneurs and researchers who are reinventing the food system.
