Freedom for the Wolf plot
Long live democracy: everyone is equal and we can say, do and think whatever we want. However? In Freedom for the Wolf, that comfortable bubble is punctured once and for all. Starting in 2014's Hong Kong, where the Occupy movement has been steadfastly protesting what they see as sham democracy – until those in power have had enough. Filmmaker Rupert Russell then jumps around the world (from the Arab Spring to Trump's nomination as president) to show that the idea of freedom is used not only to promote liberal values, but also to oppress others.
