There was a time when the world was much smaller. Receiving mail was one of the few ways to get a glimpse of culture, art, geography, history or music from other countries. The imagination was already stimulated by seeing the stamp on the mail item and soon stamp collecting became one of the world's greatest hobbies. This documentary follows a group of collectors, who at first sight only have collecting in common. However, upon closer inspection, the film reveals the common traits and the influence the hobby has on their lives.
