Festa plot
The feast of St. Peter is celebrated in a rural village. The priest orders the faithful to confess and free themselves from greed and jealousy. The elderly are dancing in the cemetery, while street performers enchant teenagers in the circus. An old man locked in the house, a sick person in a wheelchair, a young man wanders thoughtfully while a lonely woman watches the embracing couples. In Italy, traditional festivals are renewed every year to celebrate the patron saint, reflecting the need for faith, conviviality and fun, but some feel the discomfort and loneliness more strongly.
