Fallen Flowers Thick Leaves plot

In her consulting room in Beijing, Chinese sexologist Hongli meets women of all ages. Their stories are diverse, but they all struggle with society's expectations of them. For example, Wen-wen (32), a successful, beautiful single woman, is seen as a 'remnant'. A woman over thirty who has not found a man has missed the proverbial boat. Her parents are deeply ashamed. What have they done wrong in their upbringing?
