Even Vergeten plot

In a nursing home in the middle of the woods of Beekbergen, 140 people with Korsakov's syndrome live, for whom every day begins with an erased memory. Korsakov is caused by severe vitamin B1 deficiencies, almost always the result of excessive alcohol consumption. Residents Kenny and Christina piece together a world of fact and fiction to find out who they were and are. How do you give people with alcohol addiction and Korsakov's disease a happy and healthy life?

Nursing home Markenhoof is located in the middle of the Veluwe woods, a so-called Target Group Expertise Center for people suffering from Korsakov's syndrome. This is a psychological disorder that is often the result of excessive alcohol consumption combined with a poor diet that results in gaps in memory that make you fill gaps with old memories or fantasies. This documentary focuses in particular on Kenny and his daughter and counselor's efforts to get him to participate in his aid journey, even though he himself does not always see the need and usefulness and is convinced that he will be financially exploited and that he is imprisoned.
