Epoca plot
Swiss directors Andreas Hoessli and Isabella Huser wonder how history is made in this kaleidoscopic film essay. People tend to distil a clear story from everything, especially when it comes to historiography. The Swiss demonstrate this principle through an open but not optional collage structure. They fuse diverse historical material into a new history, by making connections between events, thoughts and images that at first sight have nothing to do with each other. The question that always plays in the background: what enters our collective memory and what does not?
