Engelbecken plot

Engelbecken is not only a normal place between the Kreuzberg and Mitte districts, but also a symbolic art metaphor: a kind of narrow line along the Berlin Wall and the nearby fatal 'death strip'. It is a place of division, of death, limitation and oppression. Using original Stasi material, 8mm films and photos, the directors tell about the escape of Steffen Reck, one of the founders of the independent theater group 'Cinnaber'.
