Ekopolis plot
Finnish engineer and writer Eero Paloheimo dreams of a new Silicon Valley with space for 20,000 people and ten 'innovation centers' that are completely focused on developing clean technology and an ecological way of life. For ten years he tried to sell the plan in Europe, but it turned out to be too bureaucratic. Democracy, he believes, is too slow to solve the crisis the world finds itself in. Now he sees a pioneering role for China in securing the future for humanity. Paloheimo's plans intersect with multimillionaire Zhang Yue's. Zhang thinks big, very big. His dream city in China is to become the tallest and fastest-built tower, with twenty indoor farms producing vegetables for twenty thousand people. Inside the pyramid-shaped mega-building, people enjoy artificial sunlight.
