The good-natured-looking Abu Qaswara from Mecca shows with undisguised pride the armored vehicle in which he will one day drive to a target and detonate it. With the push of a button (the dugma) he will then, with Allah's approval, send the enemy to hell and go high in paradise himself. That's what he thinks. Abu Qaswara has volunteered to join Jabhat al-Nusra, the Syrian branch of Al Qaeda. Just like the British convert Abu Basir al-Britani, who had no business in his homeland and finds camaraderie and satisfaction in the Syrian jihad.
