Doppelleben plot

Will the real Angela Merkel please stand up? Is it Angela Merkel, German Chancellor, European stateswoman and mistress of crisis management? Or is it Susan Knoll, who happens to be the spitting image of Merkel and the most popular 'rental Angela'? And as if two Merkels weren't enough, there's Marianne Schätzle, Knoll's biggest rival - beyond the real Merkel. She does need some cosmetic help to look the same outwardly, but close your eyes and Schätzle's voice is identical.
