Doarp plot

Frisian-language documentary about life in a Frisian rural community. From late 1992 to early 1994, director Henk Penninga shot in his hometown of Minnertsga, a small village in North-West Friesland. Using atmospheric images, dramatized scenes and interviews with villagers, the film gives an impression of a close-knit society where most people know each other and where community spirit and togetherness are of paramount importance.
