Dil Leyla plot
In the town of Cizre, heart of the Kurdish resistance, 26-year-old Leyla Imret is mayor - and therefore the youngest in Turkey. Remarkable, because Leyla hadn't been back to her native village since she was five. She grew up with her aunt in Germany after her father, a Kurdish guerrilla fighter, was killed by soldiers. As Cizre seems to be slowly returning to more peaceful waters, Imret makes himself available to rebuild the city. She wins the elections by force majeure, and is welcomed like a lost daughter by the local population.
