Die Machtergreifung plot

Germany, 1932. The right-wing extremist Franz von Papen is appointed by Reich President Paul von Hindenburg as chancellor and heads a so-called presidential cabinet. These cabinets have ruled the Weimar Republic since 1930. Hitler, who made his party the largest after the elections in 1928, claimed dictatorship for himself. Influential business leaders first chose von Papen, but Hitler also enjoys the competition from these mutual competitors. He is supported by them for a long time. But Hitler has learned from previous coups that without the army and without the people he can never come to power. He makes a temporary alliance with von Papen and tells him that he will support him. This therefore lifts the ban on the SA and SS. They bring terror to the streets and fight bloody street battles against the Communist Party.
