Die Hochstapler plot

In this documentary, four pathological liars candidly talk about their scams, their victims and their motives. As much as the four stories differ, the scammers have one thing in common: they are masters of storytelling and telling. But behind these exciting and sensational stories lies the desire to be someone else. Manipulating others automatically led to the assumption of a different identity, which often resulted in major psychological problems. Above all, the men were driven by a universal kind of greed: not after money, but after love and recognition.
